Scooby’s Family Shoot at Mayfield Lavender Farm – A Warm Summer’s Day of Love and Laughter

There’s something truly magical about Mayfield Lavender Farm in the summer. The soft hum of bees, the endless purple rows, and that golden warmth that wraps around you like a gentle hug. On this warm day, I met Scooby and his beautiful family for a photoshoot that was nothing short of heart warming.

Scooby, an energetic and affectionate puppy, brought so much life to the session. From the moment he stepped into the lavender fields, his curiosity and playfulness filled the air with laughter. The way he bounded through the blossoms, tail wagging, was pure joy to watch and even more wonderful to capture.

As a Surrey pet and family photographer, I always look for those in-between moments. The genuine smiles, the gentle touches, the way families naturally connect when they forget the camera is there. This session had all of that and more. Scooby’s family shared such an easy, loving bond; the kind that shines through in every image. Whether it was cuddling under the soft evening light or laughing as Scooby chased a butterfly, each frame felt like a piece of their story.

Mayfield Lavender Farm is one of my favourite locations for family and pet sessions. The colours, the space, and the light all work beautifully together to create timeless portraits that feel both elegant and relaxed. The soft purple tones of the fields brought a dreamy backdrop that contrasted perfectly with Scooby’s warm fur and the family’s natural smiles.
